The federal government’s war on immigrants continues to escalate–and we need your help to fight back.
New data shows more than 41,000 immigrants were arrested in the first 100 days of the new administration, with the largest increase coming among immigrants with no criminal records. The surge in arrests is sweeping up nonviolent immigrants like a Virginia man who has lived in the U.S. for most of his life, but is facing deportation for possessing a small amount of marijuana.
Thanks to so many of you who have donated to our Spring campaign to support Appleseed’s fight for fair treatment of immigrants. If you haven’t had a chance to, could you help?
With so many immigrant families facing growing fears of deportation, separation and imprisonment, we’ve published 19 chapters in our “Deportation Manual” that helps families develop plans to deal with critical financial and family issues in the event of deportation, arrest and other family emergencies.
Can you help us today? We need your support to spread the word to millions of immigrants and refugees about what they can do now to prevent deportation from becoming a financial and family cataclysm.
Please stand with us at this crucial moment by making a generous, tax-deductible gift to the Appleseed Network. Your support will make a life-changing difference to so many refugees and immigrants-and make us a stronger, more humane and more welcoming nation.
Thank you so much,
