Heather Jones Grants Manager Heather Jones received a Master of Education degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Youth and Family Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors in English from the University of North Alabama. Prior to joining Appleseed, Heather worked in nonprofit and government sectors. From 2004 to 2006, she served as the Public Affairs and Marketing Specialist for the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). Most recently, Heather worked with Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) in the role of 4-H Youth Development Extension Agent and Unit Coordinator for VCE's City of Alexandria office.
