Appleseed appointed Betsy Cavendish, interim president and former vice president and legal director at NARAL Pro-Choice America (Washington), to be executive director. She succeeds Linda Singer, who has been appointed the attorney general of Washington, D.C. Appleseed provides opportunities for lawyers to do pro bono work.
